Dr. Gary Freed Dr. Gary Freed has been involved as a health care provider for over two decades. His dedication to patients, enthusiasm for an ever-changing profession and pursuit of excellence has characterized his professional career.When asked, he describes his approach to dental care as both pragmatic and informative. “I try to keep treatment conservative whenever possible. However, when extensive care is indicated I do not hesitate to offer sophisticated solutions.” Dr. Freed is a firm believer that patients should be informed so that they can play an active role in their treatment decisions. |
| “I get great satisfaction in helping patients feel they are in a special office. Special means that dentistry is provided painlessly, there is an open exchange of thoughts regarding recommended dental care and alternative options and there is a sense of patient dedication provided by the entire staff.” Dr. Freed graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry in 1975. After graduation he was introduced to advanced dental techniques in a select general practice dental residency program at the Sepulveda, California VA Hospital. Dr. Freed has a degree in pharmacy from the University of Illinois and was a licensed registered pharmacist. Dr. Freed’s clinical accomplishments include teaching and being the founding dentist of a very prestigious cosmetic oriented group practice in Marina Del Rey, California. This part of Southern California is especially known for individuals who place a high priority on their appearance. When the Freed family of five plus their golden retriever and rabbit decided that hurricanes were more tolerable than earthquakes the Freeds relocated to South Florida. This major move gave Dr. Freed the chance to experience first hand the realities of managed health care. As clinical director of a large managed care practice in Miami, Florida, Dr. Freed had the responsibility of treatment planning, coordinating care provided by specialist and general dentist as well as personally providing dental care for the more complicated cases. “It did not take me long to see the inadequacies inherent in the managed care system controlled by large insurance companies. With reduced fees came compromises in materials, lab work and most importantly time spent with each patient.” Early in 1996 Dr. Freed decided he wanted to put together a facility and staff that could provide the type of dentistry he felt patients deserve. On July 21, 1996 we officially opened our Plantation, Florida doors. As you will soon find out this is an office that takes pride in its team approach to focusing on your dental needs and desires. Care that is based on the philosophy that every patient is our most important patient in the practice. |

Dr. Juan Wong Dr Juan Wong has been in the healthcare field ever since he graduated from high school. His background includes experience at Miami Children’s Hospital, involvement in clinical research at two major pharmaceutical companies and contributions to clinical research at Medtronics, a leading medical device company. Born in Cuba, Dr Wong’s entire family moved to South Florida before he was two months old. Dr. Wong likes to take pride in his native, except for the first 45 days of his life, South Florida Heritage. |
Before pursuing a career in dentistry, Dr. Wong received a master degree in biomedical services from Barry University in 1995. With a passion for dentistry as his driving force he graduated from the University of Florida in 2004, earning a doctorate degree in dental medicine. Before going into a private practice Dr. Wong was selected to participate in a selective general dental residency program affiliated with Miami Florida Veteran Administration and Jackson Memorial Hospitals. This program is renown for offering comprehensive care for advanced dental problems. When asked how he feels about being a dentist, Dr Wong does not hesitate to express his enthusiasm to be in a position to help people around him. Making sure all patients receive personalized attention and have comfortable dental experiences comes natural to Dr. Wong. Dr. Wong’s goal is make a difference in as many peoples lives as possible. As Dr. Wong likes to say “When your teeth and gums are healthy it makes a great start in feeling good about yourself” Utilizing the latest materials and dental treatment technique along with his easy going and compassionate personality has made it possible for all his patients to feel positive about their smiles. Dr. Wong is a member of the American Dental Association, South Florida Dental Association and is currently active in obtaining a fellowship in general dentistry.
